‘Learning and Achieving Together’
Welcome to the Ladybirds Class page! Here you will find photographs of what the little Ladybirds have been doing and learning about! As you can see we have lots of fun inside and outside!
Hello!
Please find below a useful link to an interactive resource to help with your child's counting to 10 and learning to use a 10 frame. The resource is also a useful way of helping your child to understand the different ways of making 10. Please use the resource if you can to support your child in their learning.
Thank you!
Hello!
We have been learning all of the letters in Phase 2 of Letters and Sounds. We are now learning to put these letters together into short words so we can practice blending the sounds together and then segmenting them out. Please find below word sets 1, 2 and 2 of Phase 2 Letters and Sounds that you can practice with your child. We practice this letters along with blending and segmenting them everyday! There are also copies on Tapestry.
Thank you!
Hello!
We have started learning our first set of tricky words. These words are not fully decodable and have to be learnt by sight. So we always practice these words everyday! Please find the first set in your child's learning journal. Please could you practice these words with your child as they will appear in reading books and it will also help them with their writing! There is a copy below if needed as well as on Tapestry.
Thank you!
Remote Learning (Updated)
Teams has now been set up so from Monday 15th November the Ladybirds learning will be on Teams. This operates in a similar way that Tapestry does; activities for the children's learning will be published daily and you are then able to upload photos and comments.
Thank you very much.
Stay safe.

Hello! We have been busy learning lots of new sounds in our phonic lessons. We have sent home the Jolly Phonic Action Sheets to help you support your child with the learning of their new sounds. We always introduce the Jolly Phonic Action when we learn a new letter and we practice them together in class. Please also find a copy of the action sheets on here as well as on Tapestry. At the moment we have been learning Groups 1, 2 and 3. There are also lots of Jolly Phonic videos on You Tube which will demonstrate how to say the sound and do the action.
Thank you!
