Graveney Primary School

‘Learning and Achieving Together’

Ladybirds

Hello and welcome to the Ladybird Class.  We will be adding information and photos to our class page throughout the year to share our fantastic learning!

Useful information about our class for our new pupils and parents...

Early years foundation stage (EYFS) reforms are currently being developed.  Graveney Primary School are keen to be at the forefront of new developments in learning and have selected to join the early adopters scheme: This year all pupils in our reception class will therefore be assessed using the new framework.

Welcome to our new Ladybirds, who have all settled into their new school brilliantly

Key Skills

NumBots

We’re using this online resource to support your children’s maths education in Early Year, Key Stage 1 and early Key Stage 2. The creators of Times Tables Rock Stars have produced a platform for boosting addition and subtraction skills. NumBots is an online game by playing little and often your child will significantly improve recall, understanding of number bonds, addition and subtraction facts. These are critical foundations in maths so we are excited by the impact NumBots will have.

Active Learn (Bug Club)

Our school has access to a reading programme called Bug Club.  We hope that you and your child will love these books and enjoy reading them at home. Bug Club is a finely-levelled reading scheme, which ensures that all children can find books at exactly the right level for them. What’s more, there are online versions for every printed title and a personalised website for each child.  We allocate books to your child according to their reading levels. These books will appear in the ‘My Stuff’ area of their personal homepages.
